JUVENTUS should cash in on Paul Pobga
and use his world record transfer fee to
sign “other champions”, according to
full-back Gianluca Zambrotta.
Manchester United are understood to be
keen on signing Pogba in a deal worth
around £100million.
The club have been in discussions with
his agent Mino Raiola but talks with Juve
officials are yet to begin, with Real Madrid
also supposedly interested.
Zambrotta was at Juventus when they
sold Zinedine Zidane to Real in 2001 for a
then-record £45.6m fee.

That deal financed a squad revolution in
Turin and Zambrotta, 39, wants club
bosses to take advantage of Pogba’s
current value now.
“I remember when I was playing with
Juventus and Zinedine Zidane was there,”
Zambrotta told Goal .
“They sold him to Real Madrid for a
record fee and with this money they
bought [Gianluigi] Buffon, [Lilian] Thuram
and [Pavel] Nedved.
“So, even if Juventus have to sell Pogba,
they could buy other champions.”
Express Sport understands United are
already working on accompanying Pogba
within manager Jose Mourinho’s squad.
Juan Mata could be sold to make room
for the France international, who quit the
Old Trafford club to join Juve on a free
transfer four years ago.
Raiola has, meanwhile, suggested Pogba
could stay at Juve and sign a new long-
term contract.
“Paul is not desperate to move. We are
very happy at Juventus and they are a
club that want to keep their star players,”
the agent said.
