President Muhammadu Buhari, has
justified his allocation of three key
ministries- Power, Works and Housing, to
Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN).
Buhari said Fashola did well as Lagos
State governor and that he was capable
of delivering.
“The economic realities demanded that
we merge ministries and we did,” Buhari
told The Interview.

DAILY POST recalls that in early June,
Fashola noted that he was not
overwhelmed running the affairs of the
three key ministries.
The minister, who spoke at the inaugural
‘Buharimeter Town Hall Meeting’, pointed
out that the ministries were not bigger
than Lagos State which he successfully
governed for eight years.
He said “what is different is that I am
working with a team I have not worked
with before but I had to use a reasonable
period of time to study the terrain”.
Fashola assured Nigerians that he was
performing and the he has a capable
hand as minister of state in the ministry,
an experienced permanent secretary and
reliable members of staff.
